Best Exercise Equipment For Home Workout Routines
The best exercise equipment depends on several factors: your
workout routines likes and dislikes, your weight loss goals, the amount
of space you have available, and how much money you have to invest.
I've purchased a few workout machines, I wouldn't say they are necessarily the best exercise equipment
on the market today, but I've used specific exercise equipment and
gotten great results. So here's my opinion on the best exercise machines
for your home workout routines or wherever you choose to set up your personal gym, in your office or other designated workout space.
Consider vising your local gym to try out the different machines they have to offer. This will give you an idea what workout machines best fit your personality and needs.
If this is the first time that you have decided to seriously try to lose
weight, and you're more into fitness equipment than exercise dvds, you
may be looking to purchase some equipment for your workout space. And
it's important to you that you find the best exercise equipment
for your money and something that will give you results. Below are a few
of the most popular choices, as well as the ones that I consider to be
the best exercise equipment to invest money in.
The first piece of equipment is actually one that I have never
personally owned, the treadmill. I've wanted one every since I can
remember, but because I want a really good one, and they cost thousands,
I'm yet to get one. But I will. The treadmill is the most well-known
piece of exercise equipment on the market.
What I like about them is they come in different styles. For example you
can get a manual one or an electronic one. You can get one that folds
and saves space, or you can get a gym sized one with a monitor.
They also come in a variety of widths and sizes, but along with the
large width and size, comes the larger price. Now, you can go online and
find a decent treadmill on flex pay at places like QVC or HSN, so if
it's something you really want, and can afford, go for it. A treadmill
is definitely a good investment, in my opinion.
Elliptical
The Second best piece of equipment is the elliptical machine. My sister
has one and she absolutely loves hers. You can get a total body workout
from one machine and you will be able to work your upper and lower
body.
Exercise Bikes
Third, is the exercise bike. I actually grew up with one of these in the
house. My mom loved working out and the exercise bike was her equipment
of choice. Like an elliptical machine, there are a tone of exercise
bikes to choose from.
The good thing is you can usually test them at the local sports store
and actually see how big it is to know if it will fit in your workout
space properly. Again, you can get a good upper and lower body workout.
Here again, because of the range of options, there also are a range of
price tags.
Trampoline
Lastly, you may want to consider a trampoline. Before I purchased mine,
years ago, I asked a coworker (a very fit nutritionist) what she
thought about trampolines for home workout routines. She was so
enthusiastic that I went out and bought one. Mine is small and fits
basically anywhere. These mini trampolines are designed specifically
for exercises and indoor use. They're also very affordable. At the time I
purchased mine it was only about $25. Trampolines are a very low risk
investment.
Pilates Home Gym
I saw the Pilates Home Gym on the Home Shopping Network and fell in love with it. I was able to get it on flex payments. In all I paid around $350 I believe. It was well worth the investment. The variety of workouts that I was able to do was awesome and the machine is so compact that it hardly took up any space.
I did see weight loss after about a
month of using this machine 3-5 times per week 20-30 minutes at a time.
To conclude my opinion of the best exercise equipment...
Some of the mentioned equipment may be out of your price range or may
even be to large for your workout space. You may consider some smaller
equipment for workout routines such as: Exercise Balls, Resistance Bands
& Weight Sets.
When it comes to buying exercise equipment for yourself, you have
unlimited options- money and space aside. Shop around online or at your
local sporting goods store. If you are on a budget, you may want to look
into buying used exercise equipment for your workout routines.
People
purchase used all the time. I recently sold some exercise equipment on
Craigslist. Other places to look are auction websites, thrift stores,
and at garage sales.
Whatever you choose, select equipment that you know you will enjoy, but
more important that you will use. You don't want to invest a large sum
of money into something only for it to become a very expensive coat rack
(smile).
