The Best Ab Workout Routine To Lose Belly Fat

About ab workout routine exercises.... Everyone wants flat abs and just about everyone else wants six-pack abs. Heck, I've wanted six-pack abs ever since I can remember.

But, I'm only just now, at the age of 39, close enough to my goal to see the light at the end of the six-pack tunnel.

After my first round of P90X workout routines the muscles in my stomach were actually becoming more visible. That is partly because of my ab workout routine , but mostly because of diet.

Because I've finally accepted the fact that I have to eat right, burn calories and lose fat in order to obtain a flat, toned stomach.

You see, the same applies with abs as with toning any other part of your body, you have to lose the fat. How do you do that?

You lose belly fat by burning calories, either through cardio workouts like cardio ab workout routine exercises, running, jogging, biking, hiking, etc. If you're an in-home workout routines enthusiast like me, you grab a dvd and power walk indoors or do some other home workout program that gets your heart rate up so that you burn calories.

Ab Workout Routines That Work For Me

The 15- minute P90X Ab Ripper X workout works my core, upper and lower abdomen, as well as obliques. The ab workout routine includes, V-Sit Ups, Mason Twists, Oblique V-ups, and Mason Twists.

I also use"Winsor Pilates Ab Sculpting". This seems to be a little easier for me than the P90X workout- it's not as intense and I don't fall over on the floor when I'm done-the way I do with Ab Ripper X (seriously). Still some of the same workout routines are in this series: scissors, V- sit up positions, The 100 exercise, The Coordination, etc.

Whats The Bottom Line?

When it comes to ab workout routines you want to work your core and your stomach, but you have to eat clean and burn the fat around your mid section. I know I've said it before, but you won't be able to see that "defined" muscle if it's covered by a layer of fat.
