Faith Based Fitness Exercise Program: 30 Day Body Gospel Workout With Donna Joyner
Today got off to a rough start...
Today was Power & Praise Interval Training again. I wasn't feeling very good today so I almost skipped it. But I went ahead and did my workout late in the evening around 5:30 pm. The workout was still a good one though, but I could tell that I wasn't putting my all into it. I was just feeling a bit lethargic, probably because I went to bed kind of late.
Overall, another successful workout I would say. Except for those darned bands. The things unraveled twice during my workout. I finally paused the dvd. Sat down and double looped them so that they were nice and secure.
After that I didn't have any more problems. After the workout I made myself a meal replacement shake (mine has 17grams of protein in it). I felt a little energy burst after the workout though, so that made me glad i went ahead and completed it.
The Transformation Guide: "Masterpiece"
Today's topic was "Masterpiece" and the scripture used today was Ephesians 2:10 -"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them."
The object of today's inspirational message was to get us thinking about ourselves as masterpieces. The same thoughts we think or words we say when we see a beautiful work of art, are the same thoughts we should think and words that we should speak to describe ourselves. God created us in His image and we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We should always remember that no matter what.
In today's message, Donna encouraged us to write down several words about myself that I would typically use to describe a masterpiece.
Sometimes the best motivation and encouragment comes from within.
"God I am honored to be your masterpiece, beautiful and blameless in your sight. As I continue to work through the Body Gospel program, I promise to keep that in mind even when I have doubts."
The Body Gospel Nutrition Guide For Day 13
In the Body Gospel Guide, there are only 10 days worth of healthy meals planning guidance. The idea is that you follow the 10-day plan and repeat it 3 times during the workout routine.
Since today is day 13 of the workout, we follow day 3 meal suggestions. So here goes:
- Breakfast- Spinach, Mushroom, and Feta Scrambler with Orange
- Snack -Fruits and Cottage Cheese
- Lunch -Roast Turkey Cobb Salad
- Snack- Chocolate Almond Madness Smoothie
- Dinner- Beef Fajitas
Tips for Stretching Routines On Day 13
At this (almost) halfway point, you may be starting to fall off your workout routines, or maybe you're not as enthusiastic about your workouts anymore. Remember, the image of the healthier you that you created? That is what you're striving for and each day that you stick to the program you are closer to making that image a reality. Take some time to review your Body Gospel Image Board or meditate on the movie in your mind. Pray and ask God to renew your strength and give you the diligence to keep moving ahead.
